Chapter 34

Christmas Letter 2018

Dear Family and Friends,
Another year has flown by, where we are heading is anybody’s guess. Actually, if you read A Concise Economic History of the World, it will give you some clues.
For the most part we stayed close to home this year, working on our deck and other projects. We made a few trips to Florida, and Georgia to see my Grandson, Greg, and his family, and Asheville to see Rosemary. We have a wonderful spot in the woods and love just staying home. The leaves just finished turning, and we enjoyed that for a month or so. We had a few bears and coyotes visit, but no trouble. We rehabbed our chicken coop and now have three Golden Comets and two Rhode Island Reds. They are fun to watch and interact with. They will start laying in the Spring and maybe before.
Karen went to sewing, quilting, and dyeing classes, mostly at the Hambidge Center for the Arts. She has some good friends and participates in a book club, once a month. Next year she is volunteering at the library, mending books.
We are well and happy, including Sadie the dog and Smoky the cat, and hope you are too.
Love - David and Karen
