Chapter 12 Honda 305 Dream

November 1967 to March 1968 - Atlanta

Here are some pictures of Honda motorcycles from this era. I can't find any actual photos of my bike, the 305 Dream. The bike not titled is a 305 Scrambler. I later had one of these too, and a Super Hawk that I used for parts. These were actually the first Japanese "big" bikes made. Previously, all the Japanese bikes were 100cc or less. The Scrambler and Super Hawk were styled after Triumphs, BSA's, etc. The Dream was styled after the Japanese smaller bikes. The Super Hawk was the bike that was ridden in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, by Robert Pirsig.
